Kent UK Funksters “Cut the Funk” keep flying the flag with their brand of jazz funk.  Collectively they have worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Chaka Khan, Ernest Ranglin, Robben Ford, Hamish Stuart, Ben E. King, Imelda May, Sam & The Womp, The Emotions and The Impressions – and the list rolls on.

“Cut the Funk”, now in their third year, has been acclaimed as today’s cutting edge in British jazz funk and is highly recommended as a “must see” band for 2015.  They have performed at Ronnie Scott’s, Lounge on the Farm Festival (main stage) and Pizza Express, Maidstone.   During some performances, they are joined on stage by respected, professional musicians such as Noel McCalla (vocals – Manfred Manns’ Earth Band), Richard Bailey (drums – Steve Winwood),  Winston Delandro (guitar – Ali Campbell), Simon Foster (vocals – Flying Pickets), Sam Kelly (drums – Cymande/Roger Chapman) and Michael Bailey (bass).

September 2012 saw the launch of their debut album “Weekend Coda” and this has since received tremendous critical acclaim by UK and International radio stations.  “Cut the Funk” are currently writing more material for their next serving of pumping funk.
